Videographer/Motion Graphics Artist/Editor

Pinnacle Advertising is looking for a Videographer/Motion Graphics Artist/Editor who is always curious, performance driven, and builds relationships.

Candidates must have enthusiasm for storytelling and dedication to their craft. They must be self-motivated, hardworking, and willing to tackle all tasks presented. Candidates must be familiar with a fast-paced, deadline driven, creative environment. They will be responsible for the production, editing and finishing of high-quality commercial/digital video content. Candidates must have experience with all aspects of production, motion graphics animation, and editing. They must be able to collaborate and work well with others, as well as work independently. Candidates should be highly proficient in editorial and production workflow for broadcast and web delivery. Candidates will work directly with creatives, account services, and production personnel. A reel of work is a must. Local Chicago-area applicants only please.



  • Understand the production process from pre-production through post-production
  • Oversee projects from start to finish
  • Prepare shot lists
  • Operate camera equipment- specifically Sony FS7
  • Operate audio equipment – lavs, booms, etc.
  • Ability to work with Producers & Creative Directors to execute creative vision
  • Assist with shoot estimates + advise about rental gear/equipment needs
  • Manage production crews & delegate responsibilities
  • Mentor junior level production staff
  • Travel required – approximately 10% of the time
  • Create and/or refine graphic elements for all content including TV, web, digital, and presentations
  • Work closely with production staff and account team; works collaboratively, but can also take creative direction
  • Strong creative problem solver under tight deadlines
  • Extensive knowledge of motion/animation, typography, color, editing and composition
  • Able to prepare media files to be shared across multiple digital platforms (i.e., Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo, etc.)
  • Strong digital asset management and organization


  • Proficient with Sony FS7, lighting and grip gear
  • Experience directing production crews
  • Knowledge of cinematography fundamentals & techniques
  • Knowledge of lighting fundamentals & techniques
  • Proficient in Adobe After Effects
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Proficient in Adobe Audition
  • Experience in Adobe Photoshop
  • Experience in Adobe Illustrator a plus
  • Experience in Cinema 4D a strong plus
  • Ability to work well under pressure and with multiple deadlines
  • Creative and enthusiastic solution-oriented team player
  • Superior project management, organizational, prioritization, and follow-up skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt easily to comply with a variety of brand standards
  • Proficient in different video codecs and best practices


  • Vocational Degree or Bachelor’s degree in video-related field or equivalent work experience (3-5 years)
  • We are open to self-taught applicants with strong reels


  • Normal business hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
  • Extended hours as well as weekend work may be required
